Barbra Joan Streisand (born Barbara Joan Streisand; April 24, 1942) is an American singer-songwriter, author, actress, film producer, and director. During a career spanning 60 years, she has become an icon in multiple fields of entertainment, winning numerous awards. Among those are two Academy Awards, eight Grammy Awards, five Emmy Awards including one Daytime Emmy, a Special Tony Award, an American Film Institute award, a Kennedy Center Honors award, a Peabody Award, and four Golden Globes.
