Susan Abigail Sarandon (pronounced sa-RAN-dan, née Tomalin; born October 4, 1946) is an American actress. She is an Academy Award and BAFTA Award winner. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2009 Stockholm International Film Festival and was honoured for her “Outstanding Contribution to World Cinema” at the 2011 Shanghai International Film Festival.
